AMBROSIA at Agri Innovation Expo 2026: Bringing Climate and Food Safety Research Closer to Society
AMBROSIA was showcased at Agri Innovation Expo 2026, held at the Agricultural University of Athens on 24–25 September 2026. Dedicated to research, innovation and technology transfer in the agrifood sector, the exhibition connected the university’s scientific community with businesses, producers and the wider public.
Project partner Smart Agro Hub (SAH) presented highlights of the project’s work on understanding how climate change can affect food safety throughout the farm-to-fork value chain, alongside SAH’s broader research and innovation activities.
Anticipating emerging food safety challenges is central to AMBROSIA’s mission. The project investigates climate-related risks and develops tools and approaches to help the agrifood sector prepare for changing conditions. Communicating this work beyond the research community is essential to making its purpose and potential benefits accessible to those who produce, process and consume food.

The Expo provided a relevant setting for bringing these questions into the broader discussion on agricultural innovation. By placing food safety alongside advances in agricultural technologies and sustainable production, AMBROSIA’s participation highlighted the importance of considering safety as part of the sector’s response to climate change.
Connecting research with society remains an essential part of this effort. Events such as Agri Innovation Expo create opportunities to raise awareness of ongoing research and strengthen the exchange of knowledge between science and practice.
